About Nijpels Meubelen
In 2009, Nijpels Meubelen will celebrate its 40th anniversary. Nijpels Meubelen furniture is perfectly in line with the needs of a large and growing segment of the furniture market. The company is a trendsetter in terms of production methods and packaging techniques. In those 40 years, the dynamics and flexibility of the people at Nijpels Meubelen have taken the company to the top. Thanks to those qualities, Nijpels Meubelen will be able to remain at the top. Satisfied customers, dedicated suppliers and a team of more than 100 extremely committed employees make up the environment in which the company continues to grow.
In 1988, the shares of the Nijpels Meubelen family business were transferred to the ZBG group in Eindhoven, which was followed by a merger with the English Meristem group in 2000. As a result of economic conditions, particularly in England, this merger came to an abrupt end at the end of 2008.
Originally, Nijpels Meubelen was a family business. Its current board of directors, in the person of Cees M. Nijpels, was partly responsible for setting up the furniture industry in Bergen op Zoom in 1969. Since January 2009, the shares of Nijpels Meubelen are held by Mr Cees M. Nijpels again. He has returned to his position of director and major shareholder of the furniture plant in Bergen op Zoom, which has a floor area of more than 30,000 m2. A new Nijpels, which follows its own course in designing and realising modern and functional furniture for the price-conscious consumer.
